Hi, I'm not from the area (obviously). We wanted to give Mt Nemo a try. We got there, parked, and walked to the lookouts. We then turned left and found the top of the cliff. However, we couldn't find access to the bottom of the cliff (except to rappel down, which I didn't want to do at the time). Did I miss anything?

Hey, I haven't been in a while (im actually going tomorrow with a friend) but if I remember correctly you there are a few 5.0 downclimbs, so either you missed them or don't want to do them. if you look on the routes section of this site and look up mt. nemo there are some pictures that show where a couple of the 5.0 downclimbs are.
