I recently moved to Dolores CO, close to the southern UT border. I moved from the north east and am dying to get back on some quality granite, not that I don't appreciate how sandstone crimps open just that little bit so you can sink your finger behind the back of them. I'm about 3 hours from the Henries which makes me the closest thing to a local there is. My wife used to be a back-country guide, teaching map and compass and leave no trace and back country ethics in NH and we explore extensively. We'll find the climbing eventually as we have already scoped out our own local secret spots (culturally sensitive), but if you could save me the time with a little beta on roads in and route descriptions, then when I see you out there we can get along like long lost friends and I won't think your a total asshole. Don't worry, I only climb comfortably through mid 11, so I won't be taking up your routes. I see a lot of bouldering pictures from there. There are sport and trad lines, right? Be a pal and save me some bushwhacking so I can get on the rock sooner.
