If I go to my profile and look at my photos, several pictures appear there that were submitted by another user (curtis_g) and are clearly not mine. Also, I submitted a new photo a couple days ago and haven't heard anything back about it.

Yes, good catch on the profile photos. It's fixed now. And I just approved all photos in the queue, so you should be all set.
