Rick has knocked it off a few times. 100+ feet of 5.9 sport straight up is a bit scary.

How do you bag a first ascent on a manufactured route, seriously how new are you. STFU new kid. Keep that drill away from any thing other than your silo got it, new kid. First Ascent what a joke. Are you seriously that hard up.

Its just shitty marketing for a shit silo turned into a shit manufactured gym/route. Makes me super glad I live near real climbing. Poor guy probably has a dozen variations on his FA of a boulder problem on his home woodie.

I don't understand why you're hyping that you might have "4-6 or 100+ foot routes!!" Glue the holds on, to the top. If it's 100+ feet, they're all that tall. Don't stop short. You just might be able to get mad endurance out of the place. From the looks of your silo, you could have 30 routes. Once you get enough routes to open, open, and spend every dime you earn on new holds. And fuck that 2 rope bullshit. Get a 70 meter.

Hey all - No intention to irritate the masses. As some have pointed out, living near real rock is a wonderful indulgence, Omaha is not so blessed. We're hoping to enhance the climbing community, engage new climbers, and provide some unique experiences for those not so close to real rock. I guess I am stretching the limits of a "first ascent" but the route was set from the top down - rappell and drill, drilll some more, put up a hold, rap down a little more, repeat. As you might imagine, it's a lot of work to set the routes that high. Most bucket trucks and similar equipment max out about half way up the wall. Happy climbing to all.

Don't sweat the masses man, you are making something out of nothing. Enjoy the stoke while it lasts, as real life will shatter it quickly enough. Too many people willing to piss on others parades. Shit, let people have their sunshine when the clouds are good enough to part for a few moments.

First ascents are first ascents and route setting is route setting. Congratulations on turning nothing into something. Lets just keep the lingo clear, and things in perspective.

Dont be such an ass to someone having fun. You are wasting time being a dick to someone instead of spending quality time climbing outdoors, since your location is in Cali. I have climbed the silos and it was fun, granted it wasn't your superb California granite. Still, I guess some people need to shit on other people's fun to feel good about their little, little selves.
