Found a rope today climbing near the dihedrals (with permission of landowner of course - please don't climb there without permission). Rope is in good shape, a little damp (probably been there a few days since last rain). It was strewn all over a ledge as if it had been dropped from above, near a new rappel anchor (webbing & 1/2" quicklinks) I had left a few weeks ago to replace some faded webbing and rusted 3/8" links. I could see where someone might stash a rope or gear for some climbs here but this rope was definitely not stashed. Need to rappel onto ledge or 5th class climb to get there so possibly someone dropped it setting a top rope from above and without another rope couldn't retrieve it or maybe injury and had to bail in a hurry?
Anyways, I would like to return it to its owner, PM me with details of rope and where it was lost specifically and we'll make arrangements.
