There are too many to choose from and I can no longer find the energy to thumb gear catalogs (that's either a real good sign, or a real bad one...).
I am picky about my chalkbags, which is the reason I need help. I need ALL of the following characteristics:
1. Big opening and bog body (large hands). I don't want to have to force my hand into the bag. I have x-large hands, can't even fit a large glove on (its WAY OJ!)
2. Deep - with my hand in the bottom of the bag I want my wrist bones down in there too.
3. Zipper pouch/compartment on the bottom.
4. Decent draw string closure.
5. Price - middle to lower tier.
That's it! Color, fabric, make - all secondary.
But I'd buy American if given the choice!

Funky stuff. I have one and my wife has one. Well built, not sure if it meets your size criteria but it is not small by any means. Also, no zipper on mine, but I get the idea that they will do custom stuff if you ask.

Thanks. Cool stuff, but not a zippered compartment amongst the lot, so far as I can tell.
That's the feature lacking from my current, otherwise acceptable, chalk bag.

LOl! That is a large mouth bass of a chalk bag. But it doesn't appear to have a zippered ass pouch.

This was all I wanted with mine too. I ended up just having to go to my gym, and scrounge in their old lost & found stuff. Guess what, it was the 15 year old chalk bag that was simple, had a pocket (big enough for a knife and rap rings), and didn't look like neon vomit.
Or you could just staple a sock to your ass every time you go out. This would be the funniest, and more satisfying for my personal amusement.

I second the Metolius Stash Bag
although at $25, it might not meet your price criteria.
Another choice is the Black Diamond Chalk Bag. The pocket is on the back rather than the bottom and isn't quite as capacious, and I don't think the bag is as big either. It's about $2 less than the Metolius Stash.
In the smaller range, Verve makes a very nice chalkbag
with a zipper pocket which, at $17.50, is the cheapest alternative of these three. But the bag might be a bit small for big hands.

I'd go with Majid and ask Fish for a zippered one. Fish always sends me more shit than I order and pay for....Like you, a zipper is mandatory as I keep a mini-headlamp in the zippered flap.
The only advice I can offer is do NOT buy a Red Chili "cargo" chalk bag.
I bought one at an REI sale for like a ridiculous $3.83 or something. The opening is an awesome size as the zippered pocket shares space with the chalk and is separated by the liner, so it has all kinds of room if you keep the chalk size to a minimum. Yet the inner bag leaks chalk dust into the zippered opening, so pulling out anything is always a chalky affair. Bit smaller than you want, I'd give it a small/medium to medium size rating.

In fact - if you do go with the Fish option, I'll buy a zippered one off of him as well, all his shit is so well made. A good one of these should keep you happy for the rest of your life, I shouldn't have cheaped out. $20 is less than I spend on beer or porn some nights, it's nothing, but now I have to look at this damn red chili and shake my head every time I go out.

Evolve makes a nice bag. I have had mine for a couple years. It holds alot of chalk and there is no tring to stuff your hand in a tiny hole. That was a pet pieve of mine. Plenty of wrist coverage and a draw cord to pull it closed. No complaints from me on this 1. There is also a space for a brush I dont feel like down sizing the damn photo I took. To short I have tried to stuff my hands in some real crappy bags. This has a big opening that flairs out once inside. Bro you need a Chalk pot for your snausage fingers. Sorry if it doesnt suit you. I was tring to throw my 2 pennies around. But it my by lame(x3) dont know that would be a problem for a mathamatics proffesor. J gill you want to help with this.

Thats my bag!!! And yes I am the process of making one for my climbing buddy for bouldering. He has huge hands...but I think its going to be a bucket. I am still in design mode, also I test it out at the gym. It must get test first.
