I'm a reporter in Alabama and am wanting to write a story on rock climbing opportunities near the Tuscaloosa area. Does anyone know of any good places and perhaps some good climbers that live near the area? If you have any contacts and or suggestions, please let me know. There is no rock to be climbed near Tuscaloosa. Birmingham (for bouldering) and points North (bouldering, sport, trad, etc.) are the closest oppotunities.
