Hey folks, just wondering if anyone has any up to date info on climbing in the ASRA. Looks like the yourcrags.org site is down as of a week or so ago. I went to a city council meeting (or something like that) in the spring where CRAGS gave a really well done (and well received) presentation to re-open Auburn for climbing. Since then I've moved from California, but will probably be moving back in the winter and am wondering if anything has changed. Thanks!

I was also interested in an update on ASRA, and a little searching turned up that there is a plan in the mix which will allow climbing, I don't know when it will start, but that is what I found, I also found that yourcrags.org is now yourcrags.blogspot.com.

Thanks Ken, I was directed to that site a couple months ago, and unfortunately nothing has chanced on it for 2 months... I know working with the state takes a while but I for one would really appreciate it if we were kept in the loop a little more frequently.

Instead of starting a new post, i was curious. It says no formal climbing right? what is considered formal climbing? is it only climbing with a rope? can we still go bouldering using shoes and chalk, but no rope or harness? just a thought about a way around the law.
