Currently I live in Calgary.
I live in the Southwest and that makes it (somewhat) accessible to the mountains via Highway 1 down to Canmore and Banff.
If you want plastic to climb on, lots of it at 2 climbing centres (Southwest and North) and 2 Universities in the City, (I'm not judging anything, just pointing it out) and then bouldering crews all around and especially at the University of Calgary.

I'm not sure what kind of climbing you want to go big into, so I'll stop there...
