I have a question regarding climbing conditions in March. I have a friend who is adamant about meeting in Boulder to climb in Eldorado Canyon and the Flatirons in March. I was hoping for May, but he is absolutely steadfast on the second week of March. I am concerned that the conditions may still be a bit on the wintery side. Having not done any climbing on Colorado, I am curious what conditions I am likely to expect, and what other problems or challenges I might encounter (seasonal area closures or anything I am not aware of). Thanks!

Yeah I had already checked the averages. Its supposed to be highs in the mid 50's, lows in the upper 20's. I want to know things like the following: How much snow, if any, is still on the ground or rock? In early to mid March, does it snow very often? If so, does this snow tend to burn off in a few hours or does it tend to stick around a few days? Are Eldorado Canyon and the Flatirons open for climbing year round, or do they close it down at certain times of the year? Any other useful info like "climbing the Flatirons in March is stupid because there are thunderstorms almost every afternoon." Anyone, preferably a local, know how feasible it would be to climb these areas in March?
