there's actually a brand new guidebook that focuses on just this.
it's called Fun Climbs Red Rocks by Jason Martin, if you cant buy it online, you can certainly pick it up at Desert Rock Sports when you get there.
as for weather, january can be t-shirt weather in the sun!
