Yes, they do help. But, it's up to you to do them. When I got my hangboard, i was on it every night. It helped alot. Contact (finger) strength and stamina increased tremendously. Lately, I've gotten lazy and only hang every now and then. If you dont stay on the "program", at least grab a hang every time you stroll under it (mine is above the door jam going into my bathroom, so I hang quite often )

I use the Metolious rock rings, and lov'em. My upper body strength has increased incredibly. Wish I own a simulator.

I have one, and I have all 3 plans. Their great for working finger strength, sloper strength, everything! I highly recommend it (the simulator and trainig plans)

i have a really smooth powerjunkie board. the smoothness works contact strength really well plus you can turn it upside down and turn all the holds into mad slopers. its pretty sweet but you have to use it all the time. i had mine over my door but now its on my wall in the garage.
