check the local gyms to see if there are any climbers that want shoes instead of renting them.

Yep, I volunteer at a community centre climbing gym & we're always looking for new shoes. I would need to speak with the Community Centre supervisor about shipping costs but I don't see it being a problem. FYI the Wall (check the page under British Columbia/Salt Spring for a description) is a non-profit entity & would really benefit from any shoe donations, drop me a line about it, Mike
