I'm curious if anyone has actually used the new Metolius offset master cams on a wall yet and compared them to the offset Aliens. I know that the Aliens certainly have quite a reputation for being amazing cams, but the Metolius ones seem pretty legit. Anyone have 'em?

I own two sets of Alien Hybrids and have owned all three generations of Metolius Offsets. I'm completely good with the Metolius Offsets.

I have a few walls in with the Met offsets. I too found them usable. I cannot compare them to aliens as I have never owned a set. Sorry.
I have tipped out and flared placement (much less than bomber) mileage on them and I am still willing to tell you that I am keeping them on my rack.

They are comparable in most respects, but not identical. The Hybrids are softer aluminum and stems than the Offsets so they grip and layout differently; that's a both plus and minus for both of them depending on the circumstances - but such circumstances where the differences stand stand out more than the similarities are fairly rare.

Good information - thanks. Maybe I'll just end up getting a set of each - Metolius for the obvious bomber flares/scars and Aliens for the trickier business.
