I moved from one of the most vertical places on earth (Alaska) to one of the flattest (Western Ohio). Boooo! Is there any climbing at all near Dayton, Ohio? I'm talking an hour drive or so after work, not a day trip to Kentucky.

I've seen a few pics of John Bryant, and to say the least, it looks uninspiring. Is it worth giving a shot for a couple hours of goofing around? It looks like you're not supposed to boulder, but really doesn't look big enough to top rope. Am I underestimating the size?

For a given skill level, you will find one or two climbs in John Bryan. I think it's worth a visit, but it's no Alaska. In Cincinnati there are two decent gyms and Eden Park. Eden Park is said to be the highest quality climbing in Ohio; it's a man-made stone wall 30 feet high. Let me know if you need a partner.
