I would have gone with the livewires if you had them up there, but instead I went with the positrons because I don't care for wire gates on the bolt end.
The positrons are a good lower cost keylock biner. I have some draws that are Dynotrons on the Bolt end with Hotwires on the rope end with Petzl dogbones. My favorites by far.

I'm pretty sure that of those options, only the Oz quickdraw has a wire gate on the bolt end. The hotwire is a positron on the bolt end, hotwire on the rope end. The firewire uses a hotwire on both ends of the draw.

I have the freewires. Bought them from MEC when I was starting out. I think they're great, my only complaint is cleaning the bolt side with the notch. But for $4-5 cheaper, I'll take a second at the bolt!

You are correct, I was thinking firewire. The hotwires are nice draws. The dogbones are a bit skinny, but IMO the skinny ones arent too bad. Though the bigger the dogbone the better.

I like the petzl dogbones EXCEPT I'm not totally happy with their lenghts. They make 3 lenghs: shortest and longest seem relatively worthless (short is way too short; long is long enough so that you may just want to use a shoulder length sling).
That leaves only the medium length sling as a serious candidate for general use. And it's still noticeably longer than most competing dogbones.
It's nice in other respects, just a wee bit longer than I'd like. YMMV and all that.

i'm really happy with my livewires. notchless bolt end, fat draws to grab if needed and super easy clipping with the huge biners and ridges on the rope end biner. it's BD flagship draw, why wouldnt it be the best?

I have an assortment of all sizes, and they seem fall into place perfectly at the crags I frequent.

quicksilvers all the way. so solid and you can't tell the different in weight from the hotwires. and they practically clip themselves.
The Quicksilvers are some of the worst draws (and biners) that I have ever clipped. The edges on the gates are sharp, and the basket is smaller than what I am comfortable with for a thumb in the biner, right handed, right facing, clip. (Or left/left).
