To redrock, I posted the same message to your other thread, so hopefully you will see this response. I have big, ugly feet like you: size 14/48 (at least), wide, with bunions, other problems, and so on. And I climb ice. I would be happy to share my solutions with you. I don't log on to rockclimbing or summitpost very often, so send me an email at brunoschull@hotmail.com and we can communicate. Don't worry--there are shoes and boots for you! Bruno

In reply to: Yes. We've been experiencing numerous problems. Our internal workings man has got his hands full with this and many other problems plaguing SP. Please relay to your friend to keep trying, once a week and hopefully we'll get the problem fixed soon. Aaron Johnson SummitPost

OH! You had the Vasque for sale on Slummit post! Ok, what other boots do you wear? I was talking to a guy with the Radiators who said that they were pretty wide, but that Vasque ran small and he was a full size larger than his other boots. Thanks, Rocky

Well, I didn't find that my size48 Vasques ran small or anything. It was more an issue of bad fitment for my foot shape. I guess for whatever reason, I need more support around the achilles and perhaps a lower volume instep/forefoot. For me, my foot just moved around in the vasques despite getting the Boa good and tight. FYI, the radiators I'm selling are my wife's size 40. I had the M-Possibles in 48 but somebody in BC already bought them from me. Now I'm wearing La Sportiva Nepals which have all the right shapes for my foot. La Sportiva's entire line isn't available in 48, but there seems to be a representative model from each range of boots, both warmer and less warm than the Nepals (Olympus Mons, Baruntse, Nepal, Trango, etc). The Lowa Civettas I have (48) were decent for my foot as well, but they are enormous double-plastics. For reference, I do seem to wear a 48 in most types of footwear (cycling shoes, mountaineering boots, approach) and US14 in many other types of casual wear (sneakers, etc). My rock climbing shoes are typically 13 or 13.5 but I guess most people have a wide range of acceptability for rock shoe tightness.
