Well they aren't really new. I climbed on a pair in South Korea for a weekend. They felt good, a little on the heavy side but they swing nice and stick well. Only sown side would be nothing mid shaft to match on and don't plan on using the hammer to do anything it's freaking small. If you are looking for cheap and good check out sierra trading post, they have simond ice tools on sale like 45% off.

hah, i guess they aren't new. I've just not noticed them before. they are 600g, so they seem to be on par, weight wise with some other good tools. I'm just looking for something simple and cheap for steep ice...I think the simond mentioned above ($139@stp) or this would do the trick. Any other thoughts on the scorpion??
