I'm visiting TX in late January and want to get some climbing done. I'll be in Dallas, Tyler, and Austin areas and will have a car. I'm willin to drive for good climbing with a solid partner.

Suggestions? Anyone want to meet up?

I'd be up for it but I won't be in the area till spring, sorry. I have been wanting to check this place out though. How is the climbing? Is it worth the drive from dallas?

Yes, it is most definitely worth it. My friends and I are from Amarillo and all agree its worth the drive. If you can climb trad be sure to go to Enchanted Rock, which imo is even better.

Our granite is pinkish-orange. I don't think I seen that anywhere, but here in Texas. It will not be anything like Cali, but it is still good rock.
