Directions: Park near the intersection of Poway Rd. and Hwy. 67, and hike up the Iron Mtn Trail to a "tee", then make a left (going north) passing an overlook spur until another trail breaks right (northeast). which is followed to the crags.

Why don't you buy the guide book or copy directions from a local climbing store's books selection. The climbing there is OK, nothing great. The rock is slick, like at Mission Gorge (if you've done other climbing in the area). Do Godzilla (if you can find it without a guide...) it's the longest climb out there and kinda cool since it has different styles of climbing throughout. I know woodson and the south hill quite well, actually. The North spur of the Iron Mtn trail loops back to Ellie Lane, and I have done climbs on boulders along the ellie lane trail (south face of the south hill). I have explored Woodson's flanks extensively through the years, and made several forays into the area in question, but have never come across any rock that looks like the photos - just the prevalent Mt. Woodson Granitediorite. I know where the area is, I was looking for specifics about this anomaly, and got some, so thanks for your replies. Cheers, R
