Modifying route descriptions

I have added some routes to the database over the last few years, mostly at the Red River Gorge.

In the beginning I was putting the route description from the published guidebook into the route description here. The source of the description was not aknowledged.

I was asked to remove/modify those, to include a reference to redriverclimbing.com, since that is where the most complete and accurate database of routes at the Red is, and since the descriptions in the published guidebook are identical to the ones online.

I went in to modify route descriptions. It took a long time since I submitted it -- but I finally got an E-mail with aknowledgement.

Strangely, 3 of those descriptions were modified as I wanted them to, and the remaining 20 were rejected as SPAM. The modifications were all the same, so I can't see why this happened.

What do I do about it?

I do want the route descriptions to say that the details about route location should be found at redriverclimbing.com, bc otherwise it looks as if I, myself, came up with those descriptions and directions, and that is obviously not the case.

Thanks for clarifying.

We recently went through a large backlog of route modifications and did a lot of them "in bulk", which may have resulted in the inconsistent treatment of your submissions.

If you PM me a list of all the routes where you want the description modified to refer to redriverclimbing.com, I'll see to it that it's all changed. No need to resubmit changes.

Thanks,
DDT
