I'm new to climbing (only since june) but i'm hooked, and i know i'm in it for the long haul. even though i havn't made it outdoors yet, i've really been itching to (don't know the right ppl). I climb pretty regularily at adventure rock in pewaukee and am at the 5.8 5.9 level as of now. I'm looking for sombody who would be willing to meet up and climb at least once a week (more = better!) and or possibly a devils lake expedition because we both know that climbing alone all the time is def no fun...

I just moved from Devils lake!! The place is the best in the midwest! It is so pretty. Nothing like climbing and hearing a turkey vulture swoop by. If u climb at the railroad rampart, if u go late enough, u will be climbing as the train goes by. awwww! i miss it. Buy svens guidebook, because the other one does not have all the routes. Get there really early on the weekends, because it fills up after 9:30 ish. There are alot of wasp too, but if u dont swat them, they will just dive bomb u, until u climb past them. The wont sting u. The best way to navigate that place is just to ask someone where u are. It can be really confusing. U must climb cleopatras needle. Have a blast there, and learn alot!

Devil's Lake is truly a special place (I spend my summers there and have a permanent campsite with a small trailer on it), but, is it really the best in the mid-west???...yeah, I guess so, but I would have to put Jackson Falls a close second, and when you think of it, Wisconsin's sandstone is real good too. And let's not forget the awesome North Shore!!

Hey there, I'm thinking I may be up Madison way, and looking for someone to spend the week of June 1-6th climbing at Devil's Lake. Might that be something you'd be interested in?
