I am putting this here and if it's not appropriate I would hope a moderator would act directly and not worry at all about my thoughts.

The above is a riveting obituary of the man's life and how it was destroyed by White Spider and unjustly.
I would love to have met the man and would have considered it an honor and a privilege to do so.
For more reading the user comments at the bottom are pretty interested and they ask some good questions that Luca the obituary author addresses tactfully and without assumption.

SUBJECT EDIT:
I changed the subject. "Prisoner of
the Eiger" really has nothing to do
with Claudio Corti's death. The man
lived and then died in 2010. So I've
put the subject to a more appropriate
wording. It's a good story but it is a
story that reveals the arrogance and
the stupidity of men acting like boys.

I'm a huge fan of the stories and history of alpine climbing. There are so many inspiring stories and epic tales.
This, however, is an unfortunate example of big egos making a day time soap of the genre.

I found that, knew about that. But there was no mention of it in the "In Memory Of". A climber died, there's an intriguing story that underscores his death and maybe others appreciate it as well.
Regardless a climber died. So unless I'm mistaken it has a place "In Memory Of" right? Or was posting a link to the obituary too subtle?
