called the "Electric Kool-aid Acid Test." numerous free attempts, not sure if it has gone yet, though.

It says in the book that both Jeep Gaskin and Eddie Begoon have led it free on preplaced gear. I know at least one more person has done the same, Brad Carter. Not sure if anyone has truly 'redpointed' it yet placing all gear on lead. Brad tried but came up short.

http://www.mountainproject.com/v/north_carolina/looking_glass_rock/sun_wall/106090732 12c/d and has yet to be cleanly on-sighted/redpointed without pre placed gear i believe. Its a gorgeous piece of rock though.

I heard that it had been redpointed first hand from some guy I met once. It was his friend that did it, but he had been working it himself. He said that climbing it on top rope was relatively easy, that climbing it on pre placed gear was way harder, and that placing the gear yourself was even harder still.
