I will be in Bishop the first week of April. Will I be able to find a bouldering guide book to buy anywhere?

Wilson's is sold out. Everywhere's sold out. Except possibly the forest service office...I saw some there about a month ago.

I ran into Wills Young a couple of weeks ago. He said that they expect to meet the May release date. They are done with the content, but still finishing desktop publishing and final edits. We asked if there was any chance of an early release, and he said its very unlikely. He also said that he gets a bigger cut from online orders. He's a really nice guy who put a lot of work into the guide, so it would be a cool thing if you bought it through Wolverine rather than REI, Wilsons, or other retailers.

I never heard about the shortage. Seems like there were too many of those books floating around Bishop just a couple years ago. In fact, I remember a nice spring day bouldering at both the Happies and the Milks in the same day. I must have passed by 5 abandoned or lost guidebooks that day. I stopped carrying mine around because everybody else had it. So is this a newer updated version? Any new areas? More development at the Druids? The first version was really well done and Wills is a really nice guy.
