Going to Seneca the week after next (March 12th-21st) how is the weather gonna be/ how is it. Possibly Climbable ????

ill be going there myself that weekend. i believe it will be quite windy and chilly. rain is always possible. seneca is worth it. pm me for more info/drinking plans

You'd probably have a better time skiing in Canaan Valley given the current conditions but it could be totally fine.

30 minutes West of Seneca. About 5 feet at 4000' as of today.

Check out www.whitegrass.com

Adding: Seneca is around 1500' or so, so it doesn't have so much snow but there were drifts on the West Face ledges last Sunday late afternoon. If it is sunny, all will be good on the East Face.

My friend and I climbed the South Peak on Sunday. The approach is still snowy (5 inches on 3/7/10), but the rock was pretty warm in direct sunlight and an air temp of about 55. We didn't need handwarmers in the chalk bags or anything. The only problem was the snow on the belay ledges. Just take your time and wear boots for the approach.
