Anyone been bouldering out there lately? I'm thinkin of a roadtrip with me, myself, shoes, and a crashpad, but don't have the best car to get out there if the road conditions are shitty...any info would be simply wonderful. Road conditions, snow conditions, etc. Thanks!

Zeke has never turned down a dude who wants to palm his boulders.

He is a busy man though, so inquire about available dates and times here before just showing up - http://www.rockclimbing.com/...Send+Private+Message

I think the area is open to anyone...I'm taking my assumption from this link:

http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?t=110940

I've been up that way before in the summertime, to do a hike up to Lake Isabel (east a bit of Wallace Falls)...so I guess more specifically I'm talking about the "sunny boulderfield" off of Reiter Rd, not the area behind Zeke's.

The dirt road to the clearcut/Zeke's wall is closed (gated) where it leaves Reiter Road at the moment due to a DNR crack down on the 4x4's in the area so you have to hike a couple of miles and you should respect the closure as access is sensitive... the road has been regraded and will hopefully be reopened at some point.

If you don't want to walk that far, the five star boulder, camp serene, the river boulders (as long as water level stays low) and the zelda boulders and other stuff near the Index Town Walls are all closer to the road. Most stuff on the south facing slopes in leavenworth (almost everything in the icicle) is also dry and snow free at this point.
