Hey all

Just got back from a trip to New Paltz (business only, unfortunately) and I think I'm in love. I don't live far away so I'll be going all the time this summer.

Looking at some pictures online (and seeing some in the Gilded Otter (I'd definitely recommend the Wee Heavy Scotch Ale btw)) I realized there is a TON of potential for highlining.

I haven't climbed in the Gunks (unfortunately), but as I understand it, the ethics are trad and top-rope only. Even so, I think there could be a bunch of sweet, natural pro, high exposure lines to put up.

Just wondering if there were any people already highlining in the Gunks, or anyone who'd be up to break the mold with me. And for the locals, any recommendations/ advice?

If you are asking about Mohonk Preserve property, why not just call the visitor center and ask? (845) 255-0919
- try asking for ranger Hank.

I do like that the only other post here about Gunks highlines was also yours, from 6 months ago.
