hey i was on youtube and saw some sweet bouldering rocks on the beach. does anyone know of any good rocks on the beaches of southern california? thanks

I wouldn't drive out of my way to climb at them. San Diego might have some stuff too, but I'm not familiar with the area.

pirate's cove is better than anything in sd. locals tell me it's killer in perfect conditions.

bust as best as i could tell, perfect conditions happen like two days a year. each time i was there, it was sandy, slimy, and pretty miserable.

climb at malibu and drive to the beach afterwards.

I'd forgotten about that place. Yeah, total slimefest. The link says to try it on a Santa Ana day. Makes sense.

I climb at pirates cove every so often its not that exciting. There used to be some pretty fun climbs but like everyone said its pretty greasy and a lot of holds are broken off but if you live within 20 mins of there it worth it to check it out. Just make sure you go early or late afternoon because it get taken over by beach goers.
