I am fairly new to climbing and I am wondering what guide books there are for Texas. I have seen the Rock Climbing New Mexico and Texas book, but it was published in 1996. Is this still an accurate source, or is there something better?

That's a loaded question.

Not really...almost anything is better than that book.

The lastest Texas guidebooks are at
www.AustinClimbingBook.com (It's about Austin area sport routes and DWS)

and www.Vcrux.com which sells a selection of Texas guidebooks.
