I was watching a video about Beth Rodden and there's a boulder problem that looked interesting but I don't know the name or grade. Can anyone tell me what it's called and the grade and where in the Valley it is. Here's a screen shot.

thanks. I've never bouldered in Yosemite but I'm looking forward to trying it out soon.

In case you want to watch the video too.

I don't know the name of it, but it is at swan slabs, just across from Yosemite Lodge.

It is actually pretty easy, I would guess V1 / V2 for the traverse.

Of of course.... the thousand foot tall walls all around you might offer a little more.

Be sure to add another crash pad and a couple of well trusted spotters if you try to top those out. Can't be too careful with those highballs.

I thought they were 4,000 foot walls? They shrunk?

Well, when you stack the pads high enough to catch you...

I believe el cap is around 3000 vertical feet, with everything else in the vicinity being shorter.

(Edit to add: the boulder in question is indeed at swan slabs, just east of camp 4 parking lot. It is unnamed in the old Reid bouldering guide, but the problem is labeled "I'm pumped, V3". I'd say V2ish for the problem as climbed in the video.)

The monkey traverse V2 on the Sloth boulder.

Half dome is taller than el cap
