Wondering if there are any good sport or boulders around Zion, Rockville, Virgin or anywhere near by. Only can find one or two in the books. Seems strange such an iconic climbing location only has a few of each. Any info appreciated.

Right by Zions, no, you won't find anything but real climbing. Head to St. George (1 hour) and there is plenty of both sport and bouldering.

There's some excelent sport routes in Zion actually. I remember one I really loved was called Electra, even though I was there to climb trad!

You are correct, there are a few good sport routes as well as a few good looking boulders (I don't know how good the boulders are as I try not to stoop to that level) in Zion but they are generally few and far between. That being said, Kolob Canyon in northern Zion has some amazingly fun sport routes, super overhung with body sized huecos makes for sweet climbing. I was merely pointing out that if you are in the area to sport climb and boulder, you'd be much better off heading to St. George.

I'm gonna second hitting St. George. Plenty of good sport climbing. If you're heading there in the summer avoid places in the sun. Hot as hell there

That's a really nice boulder with a lot of problems on it. I was there last summer and came across that one randomly, wasn't there to climb so that's all I got for ya though :( Hope it helps, J
