I'm getting back into climbing, and looking to get some good training time in. it's definitely time to create a new playlist.

Any suggestions? My old playlist had a lot of matisyahu, the killers, bob marley, jurassic 5.

No wonder you quit climbing the first time. That playlist must have made you so weak that all the girls avoided you.

Yes it made me weak......That or I moved to a place that had no decent climbing gyms to work out at.

I work better with music.

Pansy music = weakness in your arms and bowels.

Dittohead, Slayer, double speed. Use it for your dyno practise. If you're a boulderer, listen to Through the Fire and the Flames, Dragonforce.

Listen to the bridge of Aesthetics of Hate by Machine Head while traversing; Breathe by Ministry while climbing overhung routes. Go oldschool Aussie and listen to Sadistik Exekution, if you can find any.

Hate all of these suggestions?! Listen to what you like, not what other people like !

I highly recommend Primus, C2B3, Oysterhead, and Electric Apricot.

I've done my best climbing with Otep, Between the Buried and Me, and/or Every Time I Die, but I just can't get away from those first few bands.

I've done my best climbing with the sound of nature and me grunting like a pig.

Just don't mix them up - trying to do an overhang with Machine Head will totally have you off the wall.

The Gyms I go to, Both broadcast good music into the gym. I think they both have Sirus or XM.

I used to carry a Ipod but there is no need anymore becuase they normally play good music.

I like to play on some boulder problems, then some leading, maybe a little TR, then cool down on some boulder problems.

Oh music.....duh......wasn't there just like 17 threads on this topic in the last year.

Do a search. It's been discussed.

Or check out The Roots, Blackalicous, Manu Chao.

I've found that when I'm climbing hard I blank out and don't hear the music anyway. I've had times where I've gotten to a stance and realized that I missed most of a favorite song. It sucks. That's why I stopped bringing my iPod on climbs.
