Heard there are supposed to be some fixed heads on P2. Im lining up some gear for it and was wondering if they are still up as of 4/2010?

Update as of 5/14/2010

Route goes clean with some 3 or 4 tomahawks(peckers) and camhooks. 2 Fixed heads without cables and two RURP's without cables are on pitch 2 (hook the holes). Pitch 3 has all rivet hangers and heads intact with a 1 hook move. 1 Rivet hanger about midway has two frayed strands (didnt have one on me or id have replaced).

cheers
T

Thanks for the update. I'm headed out there soon. Things being what they are, I'm bringing my heads and pins just in case.

To either TarheelEMT or Rockfencer (I think I've PMed with both of you before), I am looking for people in NC to do some aid climbing. I've got a good amount (>12 years) of free climbing experience and know NC areas pretty well, but I am pretty much an aid noob. I have most of the aid gear I need, with the exception of pins and heads, including haul bags and a double portaledge (couldn't pass up an unbeatable deal). Get in touch with me if you'd like to meet up at LG.

Id really suggest leaving the hammer at the base. The heads that are in there take amazing Pecker/Tomahawk hand placements! Either way have fun, it was a spectacular route!
