Can anyone help me out with this? I believe that in my recent surfing, I passed a site that was selling ropes for $89.95. You had your choice of 10.5 x 60 or 9.8 x 60 and I believe they were made by a brand called Ocun. Does anyone know where I might have seen this? Does anyone know anything about Ocun ropes? Thanks!

You can find the ad on the Climb Axe Mountaineering Equipment website. I have never heard of them before but have seen Maxim and Beal ropes on sale for the same price. They indicate that they are UIAA certified so that tells you they meet the minimum fall rating for climbing. If you get one let the rest of us know how they are. Climb On

Yeah I saw an ad to that was selling them but I don't know much about them. As longs as they're UIAA rated I guess they're legit! woodsE

Thats funny, I always thought of wild country gear as pretty decent stuff. So what you're saying is that ocun is to wild country what old navy is to gap? That doesn't sound so bad to me. I also wasn't aware that wild country made ropes, or do they only do that under the ocun name?

Looking at the photos of the Ocum cams they bare a strong resemblance to the Hugh Banners. Climb On

Well, I think I was told when I was looking for some new cams that Ocun cams were just Wild Country, just not as nice. Mabey munckee is right that that is what they list it under. Oh and coach, sorry for calling you a moron in a previous topic about chopped bolts.
