I've been buying the Halton Parks parking pass for the past few years. I had the pass visible on my dash while climbing at Buffalo Crag Monday. Our last route took a little longer than we'd hoped and when we got to the car at about 8:30, a $40 parking ticket was waiting for me. I had honestly never noticed the sign stating "open 8:30am - 7:30pm" at the bottom of one of the many signs at the entrance. The ticket was timestamped 8:06pm. I've had many late exits from other Halton parks and never had a problem. Has anyone else been ticketed?

I think they generally just locked people in in the past.
