Any one of you slick shots use a D2x? i used to shoot with a d70 but the plastic body isnt very durable. how does the metal body compare?

Yeah it's a lot more durable, a lot heavier too.
Are you getting it specifically for climbing? Personally I'd go for a D700, I've found the weight/durability mix to be pretty spot on for most adventure work.
