Um... perhaps you are going to Edmonton, Alberta? Canada is the second largest country in the world by landmass, so you sort of need to narrow it down to how much time you have available and how far you are willing to travel to climb.

lol Our country is quite large, more detail would be req'd. There is also a large mall in Vancouver but thats a whole other province away. (9hrs at least) from the Edmonton Mall.

There's also the new uber sized mall in Balzac... just North of Calgary. Apparently they couldn't fit the mall on a Calgary lot, seriously it's huge.

Well, that's almost Western Canada. Only off by a few thousand kilometers. Someone can probably give better beat on what's what, but as a start, I believe that Val David is one or two hours away by car and Kamouraska is something like four or five hours away. You can look up info on either of those two areas to see if it's your style.

Val David is the closest. Gatineau Park near Ottawa will also have some routes, though there have been an insane amount of closures lately. It's only a couple hours away. You're also gonna be close to lots of US crags- the Gunks, McKenzie Pond, Smuggler's Notch, Rumney. Google these, or check out the forum at http://ottawaclimbing.com. It's mostly boulderers from Ottawa, but they're always planning trips and can tell you more about what's nearby. Also, edited to add: there's a guide to quebec climbing the [url=http://www.drtopo.com/quebec]dr.topo quebec site, if you read french or don't mind running things through a translator

Montagne D'Argent is another possiblity -- about a 1.5 hour drive North from Montreal. Mont Rigaud is about 1 hour drive west of Montreal, on the south side of the Ottawa river. The Weir is on the north side of the Ottawa river, about 1 hour west of Montreal. Gatineau park is probably not worth the 2.5 hour drive from Montreal -- there is better climbing closer to home.
