I wrote up a trip report on a somewhat recent trip up Moonlight Buttress in Zion. I hope you enjoy: To read the trip report click here: http://pullharder.org/...ttress-free-attempt/ I also tried to get the FA of this sick proj yo: Try as I might, I dabbed on the topout so it's still waiting for an FA. Bring pads and spotters, it's got a sketch landing. Josh

Thanks, that 2nd day in a row is sometimes tough. Luckily, those guys stopped us early in the difficulty of the route. It turned out to be a good warmup for the next day. The brutal "2nd day" experience I had once was falling 30' from the top of the hard stuff on Romantic Warrior. I came back and repeated the entire route the next day just to get it clean. I cramped a lot on that one... Do what it takes, right?

Fantastic! Nice work, and nice writeup. Inspiring! Any plans to get back on it, or decided that the thrashy bits are not your cup of tea? GO

Oh no, quite the opposite. Thrashy parts ARE my cup of tea: http://pullharder.org/...llharder-vs-woodson/ I love a good thrash, I'm just not a master of them, yet. I'll keep working at it. I need to work on Thrashy corners, and more importantly off fingers and REALLY thin hand cracks. Unfortunately, down here in So Cal there aren't a lot of local training opportunities on off-finger cracks so I'll have to get creative or bust out a road trip to IC or something. The beauty of getting your ass kicked by a route is that you learn your weaknesses. Here's how to excel on the rock: Step 1: Identify weakness Step 2: Crush weakness Step 3: Repeat I'll get back on it, but it'll be November at the earliest. I'm working full time and taking classes full time at the moment so I just won't have the opportunity for a while, but I WILL redpoint Moonlight Buttress (and that sick bouldering proj yo!). Josh
