I am moving to Helena in a week, plan to be there for at least 5 months. I will be looking for partners all the time, as well as beta for climbing areas. Will climb sport to 5.12 and gear to 5.11...that is my limit, but I would be more than willing to get on some easier terrain. I will buy the beer if you are willing to show me around... send me a message if you are interested. thanks, Tom

Blackleaf Canyon north of Helena, that's the best climbing near you. Limestone, mostly bolted, single pitch or multi pitch. Very scenic.

I am going to be spending some time in Choteau this summer and would love to find a partner to climb in Blackleaf Canyon. I generally climb long moderate trad routes but I'm dying to try some of these stiffer sport lines. Any takers? I too come bearing beer
