Running IE 7.0 (I know, I know, but it's company policy...)
Since a couple of days back, I have to hit the "back" button three times to return to the previous page.
Only on this site.

If you come across this issue again, please post in this thread with as much of the following information as possible.

- The browser you were using at the time
- The country you where you where at that time (State if in US)
- If possible, a screenshot should would be helpfull

Thanks,
Pieter

I've been seeing the same problem, but the ads in question seem to be blocked (I get "The webpage cannot be found" in both the top and first right-hand ad spaces). Here's the page source for the top:

res://ieframe.dll/http_400.htm#http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?format=nanxnan&output=html&ea=0&flash=10.0.45.2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rockclimbing.com%2Fcgi-bin%2Fforum%2Fgforum.cgi%3Fdo%3Dpost_reply_write%3Bparent_post_id%3D2341206&dt=1277873122412&shv=r20100616&correlator=1277873122412&frm=1&adk=3258867418&ga_vid=1073984724.1277873122&ga_sid=1277873122&ga_hid=1249307367&ga_fc=0&u_tz=600&u_his=34&u_java=1&u_h=924&u_w=1496&u_ah=890&u_aw=1496&u_cd=32&u_nplug=0&u_nmime=0&biw=-12245933&bih=-12245933&ifk=2179507209&fu=0&ifi=1&dtd=50

and for the right-hand one:

Hi there,

Thanks for the information. I think it is safe to say that, even though this *is* irritating, it seems to be harmless.

When you click on the back button that looks like that, IE is trying to load its default 400 error page (In this case, something timed out, more than likely one of the google ads). Anything after the hash in the URL is regarded as an id, so the browser will try to jump to the section of the page which has such an id. But an id like these examples wouldn't exist on an IE error page. It will be ignored.

We are still investigating this issue to find out what exactly is causing it.
