It's Spantik and that amazing looking pillar is called The Golden Pillar. Mick Fowler and Vic Saunders climbed it alpine style in 1987. I think Fowler rates it as his best climb.

after you mentioned the name of the peak and the link I found out that two of my own students climbed it few years ago but I do not think anyone ever climbed that face.

Majid, you are wrong. As I said before, that face has been climbed. The pillar in the middle of the face is called The Golden Pillar and it was climbed in 1987 by Vic Saunders and Mick Fowler. It is one of the climbs featured in the book "Himalaya Alpine Style".

Dude, I don't like to judge people, but its pretty ghey to name another guy's penis. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

I agree, I was only throwing that out there because of his request. I figured he can't think up a name himself, so I'd just throw out an option.

You had to look it up to know what it was? Turn in your alpine license right now....poser. That image should float like a ephemeral dream in every Alpinists brain. Talk about a singluar beautiful line. That is amazing Alpine architecture, and it's name is the Golden Pillar.

Oh and by the way, the picture in the first post is only the top half of the route. Bigger than El Cap? uh...just a little
