Hi guys, i'm going on holiday to Turkey this summer and was wondering whether there was any climbing near to Bodrum?

I'm up for trying Deep Water Soloing as anything else would require other climbers and i'm the only climber going on the holiday!

Are there any local climbing schools/clubs to Bodrum who might take DWS courses or other climbing trips etc near to Bodrum?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Tom

Hi Tom,
I know its too late. But for future reference their is a great bouldering location - Bafa Golu (Bafa Lake) an hour North East of Bodrum.
Only deep water soloing I know of in Turkey is at Olympus.

Hey man, just stumbled on your post.
I am myself based in Turkey, looking for a new climbing partner... my buddy got his shoulder dislocated (not by me...)
Let me know if you are in the same case.

Bugger. Been stuck for a climbing partner all winter while I've been in Turkey, and as soon as I return to England I get your post.
So no can do as I am back in England for the foreseeable future.

As for Geyikbayiri (Antalya) climbing, going there without a partner can be difficult. As although it is a popular climbing place every body goes with a partner.
