Hey Shawn. Definitely show up at the pub on a Wednesday night when you can. Even "bolt clipping sport climber(s)" are welcome. No guarantee a couple of us won't try to make a Big Rock Traditional drinking Trad climber out of ya.. We're pretty easy to find and get along with.

I am now officially a criminal in Canada. My first bust came about ten years ago for not wearing my seatbelt as a passenger, threatened with serous time as I had no id on me either, even though I was not driving. My latest bust (of many) was today for not wearing a helmet on my wifes moped going all of 40km in Canmore (so much for trying to be green, back in the 3/4 ton diesel)...of course in Utah (conservative Mormon country), I can and do drive my Harley down the interstate at 120km, no helmet required....live and let live.....all I can say is that obviously most Canadians would be shocked at what real crime is....lol, just imagine a cop pulling me over on my bike, truck, whatever in Vegas after a climb at Red Rocks for seatbelt or helmet violations.......they just don't have the time, CA, NV, UT, CO, nowhere do I get busted for this kind of stuff. So the "Queen" requests my presence once more at her "bench" eh? $300? Mark, I might skip bail on this one buddy...better get the best of the rest of me this summer.

Reports of Grant and some volunteers improving 4km of trails in the Ghost... One more step towards year-round access up to Claw Creek! Raise a beer on Wednesday at the Pub to the Yorkshire man with the ice problem.

One of many. What can I say, when it works, ya don't mess with it. I did get one of those Dragon cams last summer... as a replacement for my old #3 Camalot, thanks to Juan! Seriously, the comic relief was worth loosing the cam and the replacement was worth the bivi.

2011 Winter Beer Review is this Friday through Sunday. Location: BVX Camp in the Ghost. Unfortunately it's BYOB this year... might be good for my climbing though, I should be relatively hangover free on Saturday and Sunday.

We climbed a variation of the SW Face and Cory Crack. Linking up some more interesting climbing than simply climbing CC. I would say the crux pitch as we climbed it was about 5.10a A0 (1 Hook). As for that pic... I believe it's taken somewhere on Cory Crack about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up the face. The face is a little longer than quoted in Green Bible (Glen's book of lies).

Voting in an hour (or 3 more cups of coffee) then we're heading out. Headed out to Kananaskis. I'm thinking either Wasootch, or Lorette Slabs if I can convince Juan to cross the river... he's a little shorter than most, rivers are proportionately deeper.

Road trip starting next week! Heading to Devils Tower and the Needles for a Birthday Road Trip. WWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't have too much fun waiting for the ice to freeze up in Alberta without me. Hahhahahahaha! If you're really looking for ice, I hear Shooting Galley has seen a couple accents already with "somewhat ok" conditions. Which likely means better conditions than my fist 3 days of Ice last October, so you should be able to find some pro and likely belays too.
