Any news from the valley about campground status. News says that some campgrounds are closed due to the potential flood. I've got reservations in upper and north pines starting this weekend. Any info about closures and other info would be appreciated.

Yosemite Valley: Upper, Lower, and North Pines Campground are open; reservations are required. Camp 4 is open on a first-come, first-served basis.

Many of those rivers and streams are flowing into the Merced River, which could flood its banks this weekend and spill into some of Yosemite's low-lying campgrounds. The campgrounds are not yet open to the public for that reason.

Stayed in Lower Pines Friday and Saturday night. Totally dry at our site. Water was high all around the park but it looked like it had been higher the prior week.

Welp, I'll be there on Saturday morning through the following Saturday. Usually bring a raft with me, but I think I'll save the space this year. Thanks for all the info guys.

How bout the rock, everything wetter than normal?

Depends on the route. But yes, a lot of lines have running water and/or more than usual. Suck it up. Wink

I took this pic in the early 80's, maybe 1983? I believe it was shot from near the top of The Good Book?

That year Curry Camp was sandbagged, and yet still under water. Somewhere I have more pics of that, but I will have to track them down and scan them.
