Heres a friendly face who wants to climb... can someone point me in the right direction? I'll be in California in late June (travelling from abroad) around the 20th. Hoping to move around for a fortnight or two around Arizona and Cali. I know I know, it'll be hot as hell. But i'm hoping for non-epic early morning or late afternoon climbs. Hope to camp also. sounds too general and it is but i'm sure i'm not the first one asking for itinerary help. Now i'm a 5.10 climber, can possibly scratch a 5.11- mostly seconding. Directions, Instructions, Invitations... all welcome. Cheers Shyamal

AZ has quite a few places to escape the heat. Coming from Cali I think you will probably do best to head down I-40 to Flagstaff. From there you can hit Paradise Forks, the Pit, Jacks and Winslow Wall. A bit further south, try West Clear Creek for big sandstone routes in a cool canyon, Isolation in late afternoon. PM me if you want more info.
