i posted around four areas for the minnesota area, i put as much info as i know and every time i look at it someone steals my work without adding anything, he says he just fixes grammar, i dont wanna lock it off because i feel others may actually put something new in there, but every time i add something he takes it as his own. do you guys think i should lock it off or leave it open?

You should try and talk to him about it. Tell him to PM you with any "grammar corrections" so that you can make them yourself and keep the credit for the info...

This is a problem in a few Areas, I think you should just make everyone aware as you have now done of his petty theft of credit. Some people just want to get their name in lights.

I have corrected some grammer and have even added info to Areas and remove the 'check' that says "overwrite _______ with rrradam" so they still get the credit.

I have entered over 500 routes to the DBase in over 10 states, so I get this a lot. But I care that the info is correct, not that I get the credit. If someone's so shallow that they'll stoop this low, I let em, they seem to need the attention.

Maybe you can go into the areas that you posted, and add a period, then go back in again and delete it, and override the other guy's credit.

Apparently we are able to edit without having our names listed as the "author"; that's good to know. Thanks Adam.

PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!
Don't start locking the Routes Pages, unless you are positive that you have put in all applicable data, and that no one can add anything to the Front Page for an Area !!!
PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!!

I have made the mistake of overwriting an author when updating a page by forgetting to uncheck that "overwrite" box. In that we all contribute something to this site we each deserve credit, so go ahead and go back in and overwrite it again....but PM the "offender" to show the same courtesy you would like, first.
I Concur with rrrAdam....please no locking, please.

If you do any worthwhile editing/updating, then by all means take the credit, you deserve it.

Some people just want to see their name in lights, and that's selfish.
