After watching the Petzl film "Pitch Sorbet", I have a new found respect for all of the ice climbers out there. Watching some of the footage from the ice comps left me speechless. If you want to see an amazing display of technique, forget watching Graham or Sharma, watch some dry-tooling! The women have bigger Kahoonas then all of us! Enough of the trad bashing sport bashing bouldering bashing toproping and all hail to the ice climbers!!!

I watched Beyond Gravity, where this guy is dry tooling a mixed route called Caveman (its bolted), with this HUGE ceiling that required like...9 figure 4's in a row to get out of the cave! on ice axes!!!! I can't do a figure 4 on my hands, let alone hanging off the tip of an ice axe!!!!! All hail ice climbers...one day, i hope to join their ranks!!!!

Yea for Ice Climbing! All of you non-ice climbers don't know what you're missing.

Ya, mixed climbing is pretty amazing. that was Sean Issac in the movie beyond gravity. Caveman is only rated m9, mission impossible is rated m12!
