hey guys i'm in the market for a new chalk bag and i need something relatively cheap, but at the same time i need something large because i have fairly large hands. With my current chalk bag I have issues getting my hands in and out quickly and efficiently.
any suggestions? a link with it as well would be nice! thanks!

The Arcteryx c80 is hands down the biggest chalk bag out there. It also happens to be the most expensive. My partner is 6'4" and has one and thinks it was worth the price

for a chalk bucket (which sounds like it might be what you are looking for), i took a pair of blown out jeans, cut the cuff off and sewed a bottom on it. line it with some felt like material and sew a loop for waist belt/biner. its a few hours work for the coolest chalk bucket ever (and cheapest).
Also look at metiolius, mad rock or bd if your not a hands on person, usually pretty cheap stuff and some times you can find deals on them.

My vote is for the Adrenal bag by Misty Mountain. It's only $24.95 (screw you arcteryx), ergonomically shaped to fit your hand, and has a huge opening. My favorite chalkbag I've ever owned. It got stolen by some local yokels climbing in central VA a couple years ago. I'm still angry about that.
FWIW, I'm 6'2" and have hands that are larger than average (even for my height).

It is not necessary, but if you like having a stiffener...the good news is that you can. I can think of a number of good materials. You could use coat hanger, a coiled length of weed whacker cord, a length of 6mm rope, an old power cord, really anything that is somewhat flexible and shapeable. Just sew it in above the drawstring and make sure that you leave some extra material on the inside so that the drawstring can pull tight without fighting against the stiffener.

Yep, that is mine that I have pictured :)
Mine doesn't have anything to stiffen it, I just pull the drawstring tight and loop it over the bag a couple of times or tie it. It did take me 2 tries to get it right, my first bag came out a bit too big :p

look at wide fetish (sister site to fish products, focused on offwidth climbing). russ says that the bag can hold 5 blocks of chalk. i have one, and it is huge. fish is a small company that makes great stuff, and their chalk bag is built to last.

Dude, I can't work a sewing machine for my life. I usually just buy mine at http://www.justchalkbags.com. They usually have some good ones and they come with free chalk.
