I recently had the idea to try and get all of the climbers in a local area together. I want to introduce climbers of around the same age group to one another. I think this would promote the sport in general. I have started by contacting some of the members of RC.com who are from my hometown area. I am scheduling a get-together sometime soon. What do y'all think? Good idea? Sucky one?

The reason for just the same area and age group: I think these people would be more likely to stay together in more of a group where they could help each other out. Of course anyone would be welcome, but it would mostly be for people from that area.
